Why This Election Matters:

A Moment for Self-Reflection, Alignment, and New Beginnings

If this is our first time connecting, I’m Candice, the creator of Co Create with Candice. For years, I felt the pull to bring this space to life and share my insights, but the timing never felt quite right—until now. As we stand on the edge of 2025, God’s universe has been sending me signs and synchronicities I can no longer ignore, calling on me—and all of us—to step forward. This isn’t just any moment; it’s a true turning point.

I won’t go too deep in this post, but if you’re curious to dive further, I’ll share some ways we can connect to explore these topics together. I felt compelled to write this because I see how emotional this season is for so many who may not study the things I’ll be touching on here.

With today being Election Day, I felt it was the right time to share some thoughts. This moment isn’t just about voting—it’s a real turning point. We’re at a crossroads, entering a new nine-year cycle in 2025 that often brings powerful shifts and endings, and facing an election that will shape the future in ways we can’t fully see yet. Even if you’re not someone who “believes in this stuff,” trust me—if you slow down and reflect on some of the things I’m sharing here, you may find new insights within yourself.

Before we go any further, let me say that I’m not here to spark debate. My goal is to encourage you to look inward, reflect on your choices, and consider what—or who—guided you to vote as you did, or even to not vote at all, with no judgment either way. This reflection isn’t about critiquing those choices; it’s about ensuring they align with your values and the life you want to create.

And as the election results come in tomorrow and things start to settle, remember that, no matter the outcome, real power comes from within. This is the reason I created Co Create with Candice—to help you understand yourself on a deeper level, navigate life with intention, and find strength in your own alignment, rather than relying solely on external events.

Over these past months, I’ve witnessed many relationships strained or even ended over election choices. Even on social media, connections that once felt solid have frayed. This election has been the most divisive I’ve seen in my 42 years, and while it doesn’t always have to go this far, I do understand why it happens. As Eckhart Tolle explores in A New Earth, times of change challenge us to look beyond ego-driven identities and realign with who we are at our core.

So, as you reflect on this moment and your choices, remember that finding alignment with your true self can help you move through divisiveness with greater clarity and compassion for yourself and others.

We’re living in times when surface-level thinking won’t cut it. The world is changing rapidly, and without understanding yourself, the people you support, and the forces at play, it’s easy to feel lost and overwhelmed. This is why Co Create with Candice exists—to bring a blend of spiritual insight and practical application that empowers you to align with your higher self and make sense of what’s happening around you.

Why This Election Feels Different: Cosmic Influences and Energetic Shifts

I don’t want to go too far off topic, but I feel compelled to touch on a few things before going forward. This election feels heavier and more intense than any in recent memory—and it’s no coincidence. We’re in the midst of powerful cosmic shifts that are impacting us on both generational and societal levels. Not only are we stepping deeper into the Age of Aquarius, a period marked by a push toward collective ideals, authenticity, and innovation, but we’re also experiencing the United States’ first-ever Pluto Return.

“Pluto represents the shadow: the things we don’t want to see or acknowledge. Its return to the U.S. chart isn’t about quick solutions; it’s about collective transformation and healing, which can be painful but ultimately empowering.” Jessica Lanyadoo

Stay tuned and subscribe to my mailing list, where I’ll be introducing you to experts who can share insights on how astrology applies not just to people but to nations, events, and even businesses. Just like each of us, everything has a “date of birth.” For the United States, that date is July 4, 1776.

In astrology, Pluto represents transformation, rebirth, and hidden truths. Taking 248 years to complete its orbit, Pluto returns to its original position in a birth chart only once in a nation’s history, marking a cycle of power shifts and the unearthing of long-buried truths. The United States experienced its first-ever Pluto Return in 2022, on three potent dates: February 22, July 11, and December 28.

This rare alignment brought deep and often uncomfortable questions to the surface about power, national values, and history. With Pluto in the U.S. chart’s second house—which rules finances, resources, and values—this transit has compelled us to examine the shadows within our financial systems, societal structures, and the values we uphold. These questions intensified against the backdrop of recent national events, calling us to confront what truly matters to us as a society and to redefine our priorities.

This energy not only varies across generations, but it also influences the motivations behind how each generation might approach voting and choosing a candidate. Pluto’s influence shapes each group’s values, concerns, and reasons for either aligning with or questioning particular leaders. Find your generation below and let me know how this resonates with you.

Silent Generation (Pluto in Leo, 1939–1957):

With Pluto in Leo, the Silent Generation often values strong leadership and stability. They may look for candidates who project confidence, resilience, and a sense of legacy. Many in this generation are drawn to leaders who emphasize loyalty to traditional values and who they feel can preserve and protect what they have worked hard to build.

Baby Boomers (Pluto in Virgo, 1957–1971):

Pluto in Virgo drives Baby Boomers to focus on practical solutions, efficiency, and improvement. They’re likely to resonate with candidates who address healthcare, economic stability, and responsible governance, often prioritizing the practical steps candidates propose to address issues like the economy, public health, and infrastructure. A candidate who promotes hard work, responsibility, and reform might appeal to their values.

Gen-Xers (Pluto in Libra, 1971–1984):

Pluto in Libra brings a strong sense of justice, balance, and equality, making many Gen-Xers drawn to candidates who emphasize fairness, diplomacy, and cooperation. This generation often values candidates who strive to bridge divides and promote equality and social harmony, responding well to leaders who advocate for balanced policies and a respectful, collaborative approach.

Millennials (Pluto in Scorpio, 1984–1995):

Pluto in Scorpio makes millennials more comfortable with confronting deep change and complex power dynamics. They’re likely to be drawn to candidates who are bold about addressing systemic issues, such as wealth inequality, racial justice, and climate change. Millennials often seek leaders who aren’t afraid to dive into the roots of societal issues and advocate for transformative policies, even if they challenge the status quo.

Gen-Z (Pluto in Sagittarius, 1995–2008):

With Pluto in Sagittarius, Gen-Z prioritizes truth, freedom, and open-mindedness, often valuing authenticity and transparency in leaders. They may be drawn to candidates who promote freedom of expression, inclusivity, and global cooperation. Gen-Z is typically inspired by candidates who advocate for social progress, climate action, and educational reform, seeing these as pathways toward a more open and equitable world.

Each generation brings a unique perspective, shaped by their Pluto placement, to this pivotal time. Whether voting, observing, or engaging in other forms of activism, they’re motivated by values that align with their generational experiences and ideals. This election serves as an energetic crossroads, reflecting each generation’s desires and hopes for a society that aligns with their vision of progress.

“As we move further into the Age of Aquarius, we’re seeing people challenge old systems in favor of more progressive, collective values. This age is about innovation, community, and the courage to break free from tradition.”Susan Miller

Adding even more weight to this moment, we’re in the shadow of the recent Scorpio New Moon. Scorpio, a sign that also rules transformation and hidden truths, is amplifying emotional intensity and pushing us to confront aspects of ourselves and our society that we may have preferred to avoid. This New Moon has heightened our awareness of what needs to change, making this election season feel like a mirror for our internal and external struggles.

And, as we wrap up 2024, we’re also closing out an 8 Universal Year, a cycle associated with themes of power, achievement, and material concerns. Many have felt this year’s call to reevaluate personal success and examine the structures supporting their lives. Moving into a 9 Universal Year in 2025, we enter a phase of endings, release, and renewal—a time to let go of what no longer serves us and prepare for fresh beginnings.

Together, these influences make this election an energetic crossroads, not just a political one. I encourage you to slow down and reflect on the choices you’re making—whether you’re voting, not voting, or simply observing. Consider how your actions align with the values and life you want to create. And if you’d like to dive deeper into these cosmic influences and how they can shape your journey, I’ll be sharing ways to connect with me on these topics throughout this post.

“Rather than being swayed by external events, true power comes from within. Our purpose isn’t to control the world around us but to understand and align with our own inner truth.”Eckhart Tolle

To understand why this election feels the way it does, we need to go deeper into the energies of the candidates themselves.
